In a quiet suburb, the Whitehalls are trying their best to blend in. To the neighbours, they are just another family navigating the holiday rush. But in this house, ‘normal’ is less of a rule and more of a loose suggestion, and the Whitehalls have been following it with varying degrees of success.
Xmas is a heartwarming supernatural thriller about the thin line between protection and possession. It’s a Christmas story with chills and mystery, but also warmth, humour and heart.
At the centre of the story is a mother who carries a dark secret. She is a former demon who traded her power for a human life, giving up the abyss for love, for family and for the warmth of a suburban Christmas. It is a bargain made in the hope of peace, and for a while, it seems to have worked. However, as Christmas Eve arrives, a chilling presence begins to stalk the neighbourhood. Something is hunting the Whitehall children, and it isn’t looking for presents.
