Double Six Productions is proud to confirm the official premiere of its latest short film, Got to Be Certain, written and directed by Marc Nelson, taking place at Leyland Golf Club on 11th September. Tickets are now available for purchase, marking a major milestone for the North West–based independent studio.

A STORY BORN FROM MUSIC, HEART, AND THE NORTH WEST

Got to Be Certain began life as a feature‑length screenplay, written by Marc Nelson and inspired by his lifelong love of Kylie Minogue’s music. The emotional tone, rhythm, and romantic energy of Kylie’s catalogue shaped the foundation of a story that blends musical culture with grounded, character‑driven drama.

Determined to create a film rooted in the North West of England, Marc developed a narrative that captures the humour, warmth, and emotional honesty of the region. The short film follows on from Double Six Productions’ debut project, Alive, expanding the studio’s commitment to intimate, heartfelt storytelling.

Filming took place across three North West locations, each provided free of charge:

• The Shed @ Chorley — the band’s musical home and creative hub
• Leyland Golf Club — auction house, car park, and now host of the official premiere
